Meet our Team
John Rogers “J.R.“ is a Sales Engineer with Finishing Equipment NW. His background covers all areas of finishing equipment and coatings, with major expertise in powder and liquid application systems spanning over 25 years. These would include: Powder & Liquid finishing systems, manual or automatic application equipment, fluid handling, material handling conveying, paint & powder booths, blast booths, wheel blasting machines, ovens I/R & convection.
J.R. also has extensive experience in system layout design, CAD drafting, project management, installation, training and coating specifications.
During his career he has been involved in the design and layout of systems ranging from the coating of high tech precision sheet metal to consumable product such as bikes and exercise equipment up to very large heavy equipment. The volume of product to be coated per day or shift has varied from 1-2 large pieces up to 80,000 pieces per shift.
J.R. has a background in coating specifications and sales. This background has given him a unique understanding of how the coating is affected different by application methods to the overall performance of the coating, allowing him to provide the correct application system without compromising performance.
Prior to founding Finishing Equipment NW, JR Rogers was manager of the equipment division for regional paint company. In this position he had to specify, purchase, install and train operators of application and peripheral equipment for a wide range of coatings and application styles.
His broad experience related to the finishing equipment industry, both in the industrial and aerospace arena and from the coatings perspective makes him a valuable asset to any finishing process team.
Cory Slack is our lead installer with 20 years of experience in the finishing equipment field. His expertise in project management and equipment installation provides our customers a level of knowledge and quality installation that exceeds their expectations.
